Physical Description: Spirits have no physical body within the humans’ realm, and thus Nolmë doesn’t have a physical body. He takes control of Zedhryn’s body from time to time, and sometimes appears to him in dreams or illusions. When he does so, Nolmë appears as a completely covered man. His face is covered by a mask of sorts, a suit that covers his whole body, and is completely black, except for a ‘smiley’ on his mouth that never moves and is of a grey colour. There are no facial features on his head, and the mask completely flattens any, if there are any under it. He wears a double-tailed coat, gloves, tight jeans and high boots, all of them as black as his mask. Sometimes, Nolmë’s form will let out black fumes, disintegrating and regenerating in the span of a second, and eyes will appear on his coat-tails and gloves. It is unknown whether Nolmë can see without the eyes present. Voice: Brendon Urie, though sounds disembodied and eerie. Likes/Dislikes: +Learning, manipulative games, reading, talking non-stop for hours, nightmares, maths, blackmailing, sunset. - Cheap gossip, lies, “stupid people”, water, sunrise, being ignored or taken for a liar, attempting at being manipulated by someone else. |

Weakness: Being a spirit, Nolmë has no true physical weakness, as he doesn’t reside in the physical realm. Hurting Zedhryn or any host will cause Nolmë pain, but mostly dulled, and more of an annoyment than hurtful. It’s easier to hurt Nolmë with words than with swords, though not an easy task at any means. Nolmë is incredibly witty, sassy, quick to retort, and with a dark sense of humor that more often than not includes himself to the joke. Nolmë hates and loathes being ignored, a constant need for attention that hides a wish for affection. The angrier and more hurt Nolmë gets, the louder and more annoying he’ll become- he’d rather have someone be mad at him when the sentiment is mutual than accept he’s gone too far and apologize. When taking control of Zedhryn’s body, hurting Zedhryn will cause actual pain to Nolmë, one of the few reasons why Nolmë is very careful with his actions upon the dragon. Nolmë has learnt firsthand that the dragon is stubborn to the point of keeping his stand firmly enough to gain back control enough to cause himself pain, withstanding it much better than Nolmë. Deimos’ powers are also a danger to Nolmë, the higher spirit being able to take away Zedhryn’s fears induced by Nolmë just to throw them back at the spirit. Fears: Being forgotten Phobias: n/A Secrets: Not known to many, Nolmë can’t lie. His nature goes against it, and although he has his ways to manipulate through vague half truths, Nolmë can’t straight up lie. He prefers to keep it that way. Regrets: n/A Feels Vulnerable When: Zedhryn gets the upper hand on him, Deimos and Ros’ presence on Zedhryn’s life start to diminish his chances of success and finds himself alone. Pet Peeves: Being ignored, others trying to manipulate or lie to him. Conflicts: Being a spirit of both truth and manipulation, those sides of him collide often. Motivation: His curiosity, along a thrive to live, experience, and learn from the physical world. Short Term Goals: Gain control over Zedhryn’s body. Long Term Goals: To keep on gathering knowledge. Day or Night Person: Day Introvert or Extrovert: Introvert Optimist or Pessimist: Optimist ![]() |
Strength/Weakness: True to his nature as the embodiment of knowledge, Nolmë rarely passes up a good opportunity to learn something new, especially abstract concepts, finding them fascinating. A quick thinker, Nolmë has a tremendously flexible mind, and is able to shift from idea to idea without effort, drawing on his accumulated knowledge to prove his points, or his opponents’, as he sees fit. Nothing is quite as enjoyable to Nolmë as analyzing problems from every angle to find the best solutions. Combining his knowledge and originality to splay out every aspect of the subject at hand, rejecting without remorse options that don’t work, and presenting ever more possibilities. Charismatic and ever-energetic, Nolmë has a way with words that others find intriguing. Confident, quick in thought, enthusiastic, and energetic, Nolmë has no qualms with putting in long days and nights to find a solution to a problem.
However, Nolmë can be and is very argumentative, sparing no second thought in tearing down other’s beliefs and methods, leading to a great deal of tension. Insensitive due to his high rationality, Nolmë often misjudges others’ feelings and pushes his debates well past other’s tolerance levels. Not only insensitive to a point, Nolmë can be highly intolerant, dismissing not just ideas but the people themselves. Nolmë can find it difficult to focus, the same flexibility that allows Nolmë to come up with such original plans and ideas makes him readapt perfectly good ones far too often, or to even drop them entirely as the initial excitement wanes and newer thoughts come along. Boredom comes too easily for the spirit, and fresh thoughts are the solution, though not always a helpful one. Bad Habits: Easily misjudging, aggressive-passive to a fault, losing himself in his thoughts to a completely zone out point, shutting of ideas that don’t interest him right away. Good habits: Always curious and eager to learn, having no doubt or shame in asking questions about what he doesn’t know; once you have his interest, Nolmë will pay close attention to everything you say until he gets bored, or his curiosity is sated. Despite his chaotic nature, Nolmë is very well-spoken, independently of his alignment about the other person. Best Characteristic: Charismatic Worst Characteristic: Insensitive Proud of: His extensive knowledge, despite his often unorthodox methods. Embarrassed by: The times when he’s asked about something he doesn’t know about, his pride tore to admit his lack of knowledge. Strong Points: Cold-headed even if the worst of situations, Nolmë strikes as someone incredibly calm and stay-put in dire situations despite his ever-energetic and tantrum-y personality. Temperament: Nolmë is the ultimate devil’s advocate, thriving on the process of shredding arguments and beliefs and letting the ribbons drift in the wind for all to see. He doesn’t do this because he’s trying to achieve some deeper purpose or tragic goal, but for the simple reason that it’s fun. No one loves the process of mental sparring more than Nolmë, as it gives him a chance to exercise his effortlessly quick wit, broad accumulated knowledge base, and capacity for connecting disparate ideas to prove his point. Playing the devil’s advocate helps Nolmë to not only develop a better sense of other’s reasoning, but a better understanding of opposing ideas- since Nolmë is the one arguing them. This tactic shouldn’t be confused with a sort of mutual understanding- Nolmë is on a constant quest for knowledge, and what better way to gain it than to attack and defend an idea, from every angle, from every side? Taking a certain pleasure in being the underdog, Nolmë enjoys the mental exercise found in questioning the prevailing mode of thought, making him irreplaceable in reworking existing systems or shaking things up and pushing them in clever new directions. However, he’ll be miserable managing the day-to-day mechanics of actually implementing his suggestions. This is further complicated by Nolmë’s unyielding honesty, as he doesn’t mince words and cares little about being seen as sensitive or compassionate. Treating others as he’d be treated, Nolmë has little tolerance for being coddled, and dislikes when people beat around the bush, especially when asking a favor. Nolmë finds himself respected for his vision, confidence, knowledge, and keen sense of humor, but often struggles to utilize these qualities as the basis for deeper relationships. Nolmë has a longer road than most in harnessing his natural abilities – his intellectual independence and free-form vision are tremendously valuable when he’s in charge, or at least have the ear of someone who is, but getting there can take a level of follow-through that Nolmë struggles with. Playing devil’s advocate so well, Nolmë may find that the most complex and rewarding intellectual challenge is to understand a more sentimental perspective, and to argue consideration and compromise alongside logic and progress. |
