Now more quiet, private and silent, he has grown into a leader that listens and decides based on what he thinks is the best option for his people, very aware of the fact that he won’t be able to please everyone with his decisions. Hard-working and determined, Jean ignores the voices saying he is not worthy of being king, instead working hard to change their opinion through acts rather than words. Always accompanied by his uncle’s opinion on important decisions, Jean relies very much in what the previous king believes to be best, but ultimately makes a choice based on his own instincts. Being the oldest brother of a bunch of siblings, Jean is incredibly responsible, independent and with a quick mind for solving problems in the most peaceful and equal way possible for all parts.
However, sometimes, Jean simply decides to stay at bay and leave the council to make a decision. He tends to avoid family matters to a halt of leaving his sister’s life’s fate to the council to decide, something Matthieu will silently look down upon and will eventually lead to a fall out between the brothers. Attitude: Quiet, calm, private and withdrawn, dedicated. Weakness: Unlike Matthieu, who simply avoids family matters out of anxiety for not being able to remember, Jean prefers to keep them at bay as a method of defense- if no one knows, they won’t hurt them, and won’t hurt him. As cold and stoic as he can appear to be, his family is still what he holds closest to his heart, even if his actions sometimes show the opposite of what he truly feels. His commitment for his people will put him in great conflict if his family’s well being gets in the middle- Jean has chosen his people’s interests before, straining relationships with his family. On battle, despite his great stamina and strength, Jean is very slow- the swinging and recoil of his scythe adding to his natural low speed make of him a tank, but easily flanked. Fears: Paranormal activity overall. Phobias: Ghosts Secrets: Although not a secret, Jean simply avoids talking about his family. Regrets: Having dealt with his mother’s dead alone, instead of talking and letting it out. Feels Vulnerable When: Is making a decision by himself, fearful it will cause more trouble than solve. Pet Peeves: People judging and thinking his actions as something his father would’ve done. |
Mirror Animal Physical Description: Very much like his father and brothers, Jean is able to make himself appear under the illusion of a lion. Pretty similar to his father in colours and markings, and of pretty much same size. Big and sturdy, with a bulky look. Around his neck there is a full grown mane which reaches right behind his shoulders, and is thick enough to fully protect his neck from any attacks. Small hair tuft on his lower back, which has no real use. Under mane reaches right at the end of his ribcage.
Unlike his father, Jean is unable to appear as a stag. Pelt Colour: Warm dark brown colours, cream colours, lighter brown hues, grey-ish browns. Markings: Despite his lion-looking form, Jean shows tiger markings inherited from his father along his pelt, dark brown stripes covering most of his body. Unlike Aaron, though, his hind legs are covered in cream colored stripes instead of dark brown. His muzzle and face are of a dark brown colour, same one as his stripes, and make it look like he has a ‘mask’ on his face, giving him a dark look and hooded eyes and stripes that give him a ‘crying’ look. His mane is of an even darker brown, except for slightly blond tips, and his tail looks exactly the same. Height: 1’30m to shoulders, 1’93m to antlers. Length: 2’80m to tail Weight: 205kg Strength/Weakness: Jean prides himself on his mind, taking every opportunity to improve his knowledge, and this shows in the strength and flexibility of strategic thinking. Insatiably curious and always up for an intellectual challenge, Jean can see things from many perspectives. Jean trusts his rationalism above all else, so when he comes to a conclusion, he has no reason to doubt his findings. When Jean believes to be right, he’s right, and no amount of politicking or hand-holding is going to change that fact – whether it's correcting a person, a process, or themselves, he'd have it no other way. Authority figures do not impress Jean, nor do social conventions or tradition, and no matter how popular something is, if he has a better idea, Jean will stand against anyone he has to in a bid to have it changed. If something piques his interest, Jean can be astonishingly dedicated to his work, putting in long hours and intense effort to see an idea through. This drive for efficiency can also lead to a sort of elaborate laziness, wherein Jean finds ways to bypass seeming redundancies which don't seem to require a great deal of thought. Excelling at analyzing anything life throws his way, Jean is able to reverse-engineer the underlying methodology of most any system and apply the concepts that are exposed wherever needed. Jean can be brutally insensitive in making his opinions of others all too clear. He tends to have complete confidence in his thought process, because rational arguments are almost by definition correct – at least in theory. In practice, emotional considerations and history are hugely influential, and a weak point for Jean is that he brands these factors and those who embrace them as illogical, dismissing them and considering his proponents to be stuck in some baser mode of thought, making it all but impossible to be heard. Jean believes that things work best with clearly defined rules, but this makes him reluctant to bend those rules or try new things, even when the downside is minimal. Bad Habits: Shutting people off, biting his lips until bleeding, late night coffees, overthinking processes until in doubt. Good habits: Working out daily (both physically and mentally), staying calm even under stressful situations, taking care of his antlers, following a healthy diet. Best Characteristic: Hard-working and determined Worst Characteristic: Overly analytical Best Memory: Talking calmly with his brothers and sisters, holding his youngest sister in his arms, watching fireworks go off in the sky. Worst Memory: n/A Proud of: His bloodline, despite what some think. Embarrassed by: how sometimes he comes off as arrogant unwillingly. Strong Points: High self-confidence, independent and decisive, strategic mind, jacks-of-all-trades. Conflicts: What he thinks is the best against what his people ask him to do. Day or Night Person: Night Introvert or Extrovert: Introvert Optimist or Pessimist: Optimist |
